Childminders provide care and education for children in their own family home. They look after babies up to children of 12 years of age.
Childminders can provide full day, all year-round service. There are currently 45 registered Childminders in Jersey.
A quality and compliance review is carried out by the Children’s and Early Years Service, which includes self-evaluation and consultation with parents.
The Jersey Association of Child Carers (JACC) is an organisation supporting childminders and parents. On the JACC website you can find out information about childminders and their availability, as well as where they are based on the Island.
