When it comes to weaning your baby in Jersey, the Health Visiting Team at Family Nursing & Home Care, are available to support and advise you along your journey. There can be a lot of conflicting advice and different ideas around introducing solid food, the information they provide is current and evidence based.
The Community Nursery Nurses run an “Introduction to Weaning” workshop on the first and third Wednesday of every month at Pip’s Place, 9:30-11am.
Parents and carers can attend the weekly Well Baby Clinics where they can discuss introducing solids with either a Health Visitor or Community Nursery Nurse.
The Health Visiting Duty Line (449135) can be contacted Monday-Friday, 9-3:30pm, if parents have any specific queries or are finding themselves needing further advice or support.
