Independent chair of the Best Start Partnership in Jersey
Cathy is an early years teacher, Registered Educational and Health Psychologist.
She has worked with many local areas, Jersey, Isle of Man and Romania to promote integration and best practice in early childhood. Cathy specialises in working with families of disabled children and those with SEN, leading the North West Special Educational Needs and Disability Regional network.
Cathy has worked with a wide range of colleagues, services and settings in Jersey since 2007. Cathy is passionate about improving the lives of young children and their families and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the partnership having led the roll out of Sure Start, Children’s Centres and integrated early years services. In Jersey, Cathy has championed NCB’s Making it REAL (Raising Early Achievement in Literacy) programme.
Cathy lives half way between Liverpool and Manchester with her husband and cat named ‘Psyche’.
