Sophie Moulson is Children and Families Development Officer for the Deanery of Jersey, working strategically across the Island.
Church of England Churches to promote, encourage resource and facilitate the work of the local Church coming alongside families in Jersey.
The Deanery Churches currently run 13 Baby and Toddler groups across the Island, along with many family activities.
One of Sophie’s roles is to mentor, train and resource those who are employed and volunteer in Churches; being part of The Best Start Partnership and working alongside these agencies, charities and organisations enables a place of valuable information sharing and working together. This knowledge is then shared and put into action to drive forward areas that the Church can partner in, to support children in Jersey having the Best Start in life.
Sophie is passionate about supporting child development and improving childhood outcomes with a BA Honours degree in Childhood studies and numerous well-being and therapeutic training, including being a Beach and Forest School Lead. She can often be found visiting groups within the widespread Churches to meet, and listen to families, and loves to see and join in with the children’s play.
